from Bergen we took a fast ferry to Krakhella where we were picked up by Jakob and taken to Lars' school building in Hersvik.
had a lovely dinner, excellent whiskey and wined and talked till late. climbed the local mountains the next day and saw far out.

Launched the Blue Wall of Silence website at Landmark, Bergen Kunsthall. It it hosted by the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, NRK's experimental web site for electronic art ULYD .

going to oslo on sunday. have a meeting with utsmykkingsfondet about the light art competition i won. will use the opportunity to see the curator of urban interface oslo who's in town and visit nrk/ulyd. its been raining in dale for the last three days so it will be good with a brake!

thanks to help from svein ove, jakob and jon we got the top pentagon mounted on the pillars by a rope from the ceiling. discovered that we forgot to cut the pillars at the right height so we have to do some adjustments - what the heck... pretty exciting though!

mimir had my time at school so i went to help him tell about our life in new york. the kids thought we are very lucky, i guess it's true :) afterwards i hosted the weekly studio meeting and dragged the garbage cans down to the road in the pouring rain. researching dissolving materials, dreaming about egg trays and sand paper.

today we have open studios. the weather is kind of wild - rainstorms and heavy winds - wonder if anybody will come...
they sure did - a nice little crowd and many good conversations. i got some tips about a material that will dissolve on impact - treullitt it's a natural material made of cement and wood shavings. have to do some research.

i WON the competition for site-specific electronic light art at the new Computer Science building at the University of Oslo.
my proposal TRIGGER was made in collaboration with scott fitzgerald in new york. we had champagne in my studio last night :)

in the morning i did a short presentation of Toward the Inside of Whiteness as an introduction to discussing Contemporary Nordic Art with 16 students from United World College.
after lunch we screwed the top and bottom outer pentagons together and started cutting the inner ones.

went downtown through the woods to by screws. visited international café hosted by United World College students and volunteers at the old bath house. went back to experiment with the pentagon with jakob. later looked for the moon eclipse that hid behind the clouds right before it was about to happen - too bad.

Svein Ove, the technician at NKD is fabulous - he will help me build the pentagon. today we cut the wood for the top and bottom pentagons and the 5 corner pillars.
